CSI baseball adds a pair of assistants to coaching staff
TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho baseball program is excited to announce the hiring of Kelton Caldwell and Bruer Webster to their coaching staff for the 2027 season.
Caldwell brings more than a decade of playing and coaching experience to head coach Boomer Walker's staff, from both the collegiate and professional levels. The Salt Lake City native hailed from Jordan High School in Sandy, where he excelled on the field, propelling him to a four-year collegiate career at Brigham Young University from 2010-2014. Following his collegiate career, Caldwell played professionally overseas in Australia as a member of the Brisbane Bandits.

Caldwell shifted to the coaching side following his professional stint, beginning his career at Juan Diego Catholic School before moving up to the college coaching ranks. Starting in 2020, Caldwell spent a two-year stint at SWAC foe Salt Lake Community College, a two-year stint at Point University, and most recently spent a two-year stint at Keiser University in Florida before joining the Golden Eagles. Caldwell also has years of coaching experience in collegiate summer leagues, including several years in the highly touted Northwoods League with the Wausau Woodchucks, earning Northwoods League Coach of the Year in 2024. Caldwell also spent the 2023 summer as the head coach of the Michigan Monarchs of the Great Lakes League.
Webster, an Idaho native, graduated from Bonneville High School in Idaho Falls, where he racked up accolades as a player, being named a three-time All-Conference First Team selection while leading the Bees to a 2019 state championship. Webster was also a vital member of the 2019 Idaho Falls Bandits American Legion team that captured the American Legion World Series title.
Webster began his collegiate career at Salt Lake Community College, where he helped lead the Bruins to a conference and region title in 2022. While at Salt Lake, Webster earned two ABCA Gold Glove Awards and was named the NJCAA National Player of the Year in 2021, as well as Region 18 Defensive Player of the Year in 2022. Following his junior college stint, Webster took his talents to the University of Utah, where he appeared in 96 games with 84 starts in two years with the Utes. In his two years, Webster was a .265 hitter, driving in 39 runs and in 2024 led the Pac-12 in sacrifice bunts. He began his coaching career at Cumberland University before joining the College of Southern Idaho.
