TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The 7th-ranked CSI volleyball team remains unbeaten on their home floor as they capped off a perfect 3-0 weekend with a third straight three-set sweep, knocking off Western Nebraska 25-18, 25-17, 25-19 on Saturday night.
The Golden Eagles were once again balanced and efficient on offense, as four players had nine or more kills, led by Nana Lobzhanidze with 10. Brinley Bybee, Emma Pannell and Bilge Avcu, a trio of freshman, all pitched in nine kills apiece as well. Emerson Heatwole led the way defensively with 14 digs, while Mary Irwin and Dalayni Brindley dished out 17 and 16 assists respectively. Sophomore Reese Hills had four kills and seven block assists in the victory.
The Golden Eagles now gear up for their final non-conference action of the season next week, as they head back down to Salt Lake for four games, beginning Friday as they take on 8th-ranked Trinity Valley at 9:00 a.m.
