The City of Twin Falls is working with victims of the tragic shooting at Canyon Park West on Aug. 1. As the city continues to work with individuals immediately impacted by the tragedy, it also extends an invitation to individuals who were in the area and who may also be impacted by the events that day.
Individuals who were at the In-N-Out restaurant, the Canyon Park West complex, the Visitor Center, the Canyon Rim walking path, or in vehicles on Blue Lakes Blvd North immediately adjacent to the complex during the shooting on Saturday, Aug. 1, are considered victims of the event.
Even if there was no physical injury from the event, victims may still qualify for mental health support through the Idaho Crime Victims Compensation Program (CVCP). If their application is found eligible, CVCP provides reimbursement for mental health expenses that are directly related to the crime, helping victims access the care and support they need on their path to recovery. CVCP staff are available to discuss application questions with victims who call 208-334-6080.

If their employer does not file a claim on their behalf, they can file one themselves.
