I have dedicated many hours to the team, especially over the summer as I organized practices and scrimmages for the girls when, at the time, we didn’t have a coach.

I have also participated in the National Honors Society of Twin Falls High School since my sophomore year. This requires exceptional grades and attendance while also completing hours of community service. Several hours have come from volunteering at school events, such as registration and tutoring.

I have maintained a 3.97 GPA throughout many AP, Honors, and Dual Credit courses throughout high school. I have taken honors classes in Math, Science, English, and History from freshman year continuing into this current year.

I started a club HOSA this year, which is Health Occupations Students of America. This is a medical club that goes to many competitions and competes against other schools in many medical categories. Medical classes have always sparked my interest, so I am excited to partake in this club. I have to make sure I am putting in hard work to know my categories, working with my team, and actively participating in practice and meetings.

I am active in my Church Youth Counsel. I have served as a president and in the presidency for many years. I plan activities for the youth, gather supplies, help set things up, and help run events. I also reach out to the girls and help as many people as we can participate.

I have 28 credits at CSI, and I plan to get even more next semester. I am a hardworking student and I have worked very hard to maintain As in these courses as well. I am always up for a challenge and love taking the harder courses to push my limits.

For my Senior Project, I wanted to be very active in the community. Over the summer, I collected school supplies and made back-to-school kits. I first held an event where many kids came to make kits for other schools, placing fun cards inside wishing kids a good year. Then, I collected donations from our community and made 25 backpacks full of school supplies. I was so grateful for the opportunity and was able to help kids from the 2023 and 2024 school year obtain the most success!

I am an accomplished Senior at Twin Falls High. Throughout my high school years, I have maintained a 4.0 GPA and participated in the Student Council my Junior and Senior years. I am a National Honor Society and Finance Club member. I have enjoyed high school athletics as a 3-year varsity starter for the Football team and participated in Track and Wrestling. Another memorable experience was coaching the TFHS Unified Sports Basketball Team, coaching students with intellectual disabilities to play against teams in Boise, and watching how excited they were to win. I grew up enjoying the outdoors, which led to my passion for environmental studies. I completed my Senior Project volunteering for Reef International, an organization that works to restore the second-largest coral reef near Belize. This past winter, I completed a three-day avalanche course in the backcountry to become a better-informed and safer backcountry skier. I value being a learner both in the classroom and in the outdoors.

My biggest challenge has been balancing a rigorous high school schedule by maintaining a 4.0 GPA, playing sports, and being in student leadership. Through all of these experiences, there have been highs and lows. I have learned how hard it can be to give my all to what I care about. I know I can’t always be on my A-game daily, but striving to give my best and recognize when I feel tired, stressed, or physically injured has helped me find a balance and enjoy the process.

What’s next for Grayson?

Grayson plans to attend college, most likely at Oregon State University or Gonzaga University. He is undecided on a specific career path, but he knows he loves the outdoors and would like to combine my passion for the outdoors with an environment engineering or science degree.
