Construction timelines in Malta, Oakley and Burley
Raft River High School ag shop is nearly complete with only finishing touches remaining. It will be occupied in two weeks.
Oakley High School gym is under construction with the main masonry walls going up. The high school will get an addition and the concrete is being placed and framing started Tuesday. The school’s small commons area is complete and in use. The school’s ag shop has been in use since August.
Burley’s new elementary, John V. Evans Elementary, has concrete work underway. In October the framing and masonry work will begin. It will be in use during 2017-2018 school year.
Burley Junior High School’s new HVAC system is nearly finished with only a couple small issues remaining.
Dworshak Elementary School will get an HVAC replacement next summer.
Mountain View Elementary School remodel will not start until students can be moved to the new elementary school in Burley. The remodel will be complete in spring 2018.
Officials plan to determine new attendance zones and shift elementary schools to the K-6 model in 2018-2019.
