Shoshone vs Genesee girls championship

Shoshone senior Bailee Owens is checked out by Head Coach Tim Chapman after taking a hard fall Saturday, Feb. 16, 2019, during the 1A DI Girls State Basketball Championship game at the Ford Idaho Center in Nampa, Idaho. Owens, the team's top scorer with an average of 15 points per game, did not return to play after her injury. Shoshone went on to defeat Genesee 47-37 to claim the state title. It was later confirmed that the fall resulted in Owens tearing her ACL. NOTE: Typically I don't photograph injuries unless they're significant. This injury was significant, mainly because it was the star player. I needed to explain why she is on crutches in the celebration photos, and to do that I first have to photograph this.
