Twin Falls 48, Skyline 40

TWIN FALLS — Kylie Baumert’s 23 points led the Bruins in a 4A win at the Twin Falls Holiday Tournament.

Baumert shot 7-of-14 from the field and 8-of-10 from the free-throw line.

Madison Glascock had three points, three assists and six steals for Twin Falls (5-7), which hosts Blackfoot on Saturday to conclude the tournament.

Taylia Stimpson scored 16 points, and Saydi Anderson added 15 for Minico (9-3), which wraps up tournament play Saturday afternoon against Centennial.

Preston 56, Burley 45

PRESTON — The Bobcats dropped a nonconference 4A game to the top-ranked, two-time defending state champions. Burley also lost to Preston in the season-opener, 64-56 at home.

Preston’s Brayden Parker scored a game-high 27 points, including 17 in the first half.

Ryan Bagley and Brock Whitaker each scored 13 points for Burley (5-3), which hosts Century on Jan. 2.
