On the boys side, Kimberly senior Trey Garey was named the all-SCIC player of the year, and his father Daren earned coach of the year honors. The Gareys led the Bulldogs to Saturday’s 3A state championship game, where they lost to Fruitland.

Gooding junior Grace Parker was named the all-conference girls player of the year, and Buhl’s Kody Bingham was the coach of the year. Bingham helped the Indians snap a 15-year playoff drought, and they lost in the 3A state consolation final.

The SCIC also named two sportsmanship players of the year. For the boys, it was Filer senior Garret Miskin, and the girls honor went to Buhl senior Jordane Netz.
