A flurry of sexual misconduct claims in state capitols comes three-and-a-half years after the #MeToo movement started. The continued incidents highlight both that problems persist and that some legislatures are responding more assertively.

The Senate voted 30-5 following in favor of a bill that would ban the use of any handheld mobile electronic device (cellphones, laptops, tablets, etc.) while driving. Drivers also could not wear headphones or watch videos under the bill.

The Senate Transportation Committee approved a bill Tuesday that would create the “Choose Life” specialty license plate. The plate is intended to provide an option for those who wish to “proudly express their support for unborn children.”
