Red-tailed Hawk

An estimated 800 breeding pairs of raptors — such as the red-tailed hawk — use the Morley Nelson Snake River Birds of Prey National Conservation Area each spring. The Snake River area is the nesting site for a significant portion of the world’s entire prairie falcon population.
