Cheerleaders thank teams and supporters

The Magic Valley Eagles all-star cheer held their 10th annual cheer/dance expo at Filer High School on Feb. 10. This event showcases local talent from around the Magic Valley. Teams donated canned food items that were then given to South Central Community Action’s food pantry, and funds raised will help out Magic Valley Eagles’ scholarship athletes.

I would like to thank the following teams that participated in our event: Canyon Ridge High School cheer; Robert Stuart Middle School cheer; South Hills Middle School cheer; O’Leary Middle School cheer; Revolution Academy of Dance; and our own Magic Valley Eagle teams. It was a ton of fun to watch all of the talented individuals! Thank you, also, to Filer High School for allowing us to utilize your facility and to Regina Gihring for your assistance in getting everything set up.

Many businesses and individuals donated items for raffle ticket prizes and silent auction items. Your generosity contributed to the expo’s success. Thank you so much to the following people: Anchor Bistro; Kickback Rewards; Red’s Trading Post; Dutch Brothers; Starbucks; Farmer’s Bank; Sizzler; Coldstone Creamery; Kiwi Loco; KB Burrito; Jakers; Alice Van Straalen; Lyndsay Pitz at Twisted Scissors; Pizza Pie Cafe; Buffalo Wild Wings; Emma Peterson; Elevation; Outback; Prepped Fresh; Sunsations; GMC-Rob Green; Marod; Maggie Ford; Jaime Hicks at Blonde and Beyond; Sips; Younique; Summit Dental; Costa Vida; La Fiesta; Becky Tschida; Canyon Springs Golf Course; CSI; Yvonne Morfin; Jennifer Tingey; Robert Luna; Sam Barker at Magic Valley Medicine; Lux Salon; Ashley Furniture; and Elite Stylist.

I would especially like to thank Pepsi Co. for being a loyal donor of products over the last several seasons. Your donations have been invaluable to our expo!

A big thank you to all of the MVE parents who donated items or helped with the expo. I could not have done it without all of you! I also appreciate the MVE staff who assisted in this event: Alexis Guzman; Adrian Brito; Andrea Villasenor; and Sara Weber.

Lastly, I would like to acknowledge and thank the businesses who have sponsored some of our MVE athletes this season. You have given a priceless gift to these athletes to be able to continue to do what they love! Much thanks to Magic Valley Electric; Title One; Delchev Training Academy; Ward Orthodontics; Weidner Industrial; Elite Stylist; First Glimpse; Leonard Petroleum Equipment; Elevation; Southern Idaho RV and Marina; and Robert Luna.

I’m finishing up my last few months as the owner of MVE. I’ve been blessed to have the community’s support and loyal clients to run this business for 16 years. The Magic Valley Eagles will be transitioning to Magic Valley Elite, under the ownership of Sara Weber, come April 15. It’s been a great run with a lifetime of memories and friends I will never forget.
