There is no substitute for preparation in the challenges we may face. We have a candidate for Minidoka County Commissioner who has prepared like no other.

Wayne Schenk has run a successful and diversified farming operation for the last 40 years. Wayne has made changes in his operation as they were needed in order to keep it profitable. When market conditions have been such that the money would be better spent elsewhere, Wayne has been willing to invest in other entities to keep his finances moving in a positive direction.

In our community, Wayne has served on a variety of boards and committees. Some of these positions Wayne volunteered for; some he was asked to serve on. In either case, there was a recognition that Wayne was a man who could help.

I have known Wayne Schenk for nearly 50 years, and recently served on a farm board with him for eight years. On the farm board, I found that he was still the same Wayne Schenk that I have always known. He is intelligent, honest and has gained wisdom from his life experience. Wayne is a good listener and a thoughtful decision-maker.
