On behalf of the Sub Arts Committee for the Urban Renewal Agency of Twin Falls, we would like to recognize the artists whose work was selected to be a part of the Downtown Commons north wall murals and those artists whose work was selected to be used to cover the electrical boxes along Main Avenue in downtown Twin Falls.

Artists for the murals on the north wall of the Downtown Commons, left to right include:

  • Laurel Macdonald, Boise — “Idaho Bridge”
  • Carolyn J. McCoy, Buhl — “Whimsical Holstein Cow”
  • Leslie Redhead, Burley — “Believing in Magic”
  • Erik Winther, Buhl — “The Crops Are Taking Off”
  • Leon Smith, Twin Falls — “Shoshone Falls Hotel”
  • Valarie Martinez Everton (Vadi), Twin Falls — “The Sheep Herder’s Wagon”

Artists selected for the electrical wraps were:

  • Sarahlynn Crawford, Meridian — “Shoshone Falls”
  • Laurel Macdonald, Boise — “Sunflower”
  • Erik Winther, Buhl — “Greetings from Twin Falls”
  • Rick Kuhn, Twin Falls — “Hidden Lakes”
  • Kimberly High School Advanced Art Class Students — “Got Milk/White Satin” — Ryan Ennis, Jett Garrison, Leslie Gomez, Rachael Jensen, Symantha Rendo, Toria Stringham, Vanessa Hunt, and Bailey Taylor. Instructor — Tami Aufderheide.
  • Laurel Macdonald, Boise — “Sunflower”
  • Kathy LilyField, Buhl — “Cumulus”
  • Marjorie McBride, Twin Falls — “Seasons”
  • Corinne Slusser, Rupert — “Summer Fun and His and Hers”

The selected artwork will be enjoyed by many and greatly adds to the overall enhancement of the newly renovated Main Avenue and wonderful new Downtown Commons.
