On the computer today (March 27), there is a cartoon which shows a girl speaking to school children: “Pay attention to this class and you won’t be as easily fooled as your parents were.”
Dietrich’s Tim McDaniel is passing information to the children that they desperately need. They are maturing earlier all the time — a girl in Mexico had a baby and she was 9 years old. It is happening more and more.
I know parents feel in kind of a bind in talking to their children about sex (I did). When they have a teacher like Mr. McDaniel teaching from an accepted textbook, the children will feel good about what goes on in their bodies. They will understand what is good and what can be bad at this early age.
Please reconsider your attitude about teachers like Mr. McDaniel. He obviously cares a lot about your kids.
