EDEN — A Rupert man died following a two-vehicle crash south of Eden just before noon on Monday.

Kellie Barker, 57, of Kingman, Ariz., was driving west on 1010 South, south of Interstate 84, in a semitrailer, Idaho State Police reported. Barker’s semi had stopped and he was preparing to turn left into a gravel lot just east of Eden Road.

Tony Dryden, 57, of Rupert, was also driving west and he failed to stop behind the semitrailer. Dryden’s vehicle rear-ended the semi and he succumbed to his injuries at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt. Dryden’s family has been notified.

The crash was reported at 1675 East, 1010 South. Jerome County Sheriff’s Office and Idaho State Police responded.
