TWIN FALLS - Dog owners, tell your furry friends the good news.

The city will open a temporary dog park in the area of Harmon Park, at Elizabeth Boulevard and Madrona Street, on Tuesday, Oct. 1.

Parks and Recreation Department workers will install a temporary fence along the dirt area of one infield on Monday, Sept. 30, to alleviate problems in the spring when the fields are again used for baseball and softball, a city press release said.

Baxter’s Dog Park is under construction at the northeast corner of Blake Street North and Shoup Avenue West after receiving financial support from the Magic Valley Canine Social Club, the city of Twin Falls and other private organizations. It will serve as Twin Falls’ first dog park.
