TWIN FALLS — The Twin Falls School District will receive three automated external defibrillators at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Twin Falls School District Office, 201 Main Ave. W. — distributed by Jennifer Guthrie of St. Luke’s Magic Valley Women’s and Children’s Unit.
Defibrillation is the delivery of electric shock to restore the heart’s normal rhythm. AEDs are lightweight, sturdy and easy to use. With this donation, all of the district’s secondary schools will have accessibility to AEDs. The school district will now work toward having a device in every elementary school.
These AED units were purchased through a grant provided by the St. Luke’s Magic Valley Children’s Advisory Committee housed under the St. Luke’s Magic Valley Health Foundation. More information: Call 208-814-0070.
