Try 3 months for $3

TWIN FALLS • A 71-year-old Twin Falls man was arrested Friday for shoplifting at the Twin Falls Fred Meyer, 705 Blue Lakes Boulevard. The man allegedly told police he stole from Fred Meyer before, up to two or three times a week for the past two years.

According to a police report, Twin Falls police responded to a call from the Fred Meyer store about a cooperative shoplifter just before 9 a.m. Friday.

According to the report, Richard Jennings selected several items and placed them in a plastic Fred Meyer grocery bag that he brought into the store. Ritter allegedly walked out of the store without paying and was detained by a store loss prevention officer.

The report states that Jennings told police he stole a set of sheets and several candy bars.

Jennings also allegedly told police he thought he would not be caught because Black Friday was so busy.

The items allegedly taken were valued at $32.54. Jennings was arrested on a burglary charge then released without bond. He’s scheduled to appear in court Dec. 7.
