Mary Sue Borden

June 21, 1927 - January 14, 2017

Mary Sue Tovey was born June 21, 1927 in Malad City, Idaho, the second of Morgan and Gwenfred Tovey's six children. She passed away January 14, 2017 in Selma, Texas.

Sue graduated from the University of Idaho with a degree in Education and taught many years at Shoshone High School and the Idaho School for the Deaf and the Blind in Gooding.

She was a PEO member for over 50 years, an avid bridge player and a dedicated Spurs fan after relocating to the San Antonio area several years ago.

Sue and Charles Cole 'Pete' Borden married in 1955. They raised their daughter Nancy and sons Morgan, Ross and John in Shoshone and Gooding.

Sue was preceded in death by her former husband Pete, granddaughter Kendra and son Morgan. She is survived by Nancy (Dick) Kessel, Universal City, Texas, daughter-in-law Pam (Mike Nass), Flandreau, South Dakota, Ross (Barbara), Boise, John, Salem, Oregon, sister Winifred Alldaffer, Twin Falls, and brother Roger, Santa Rosa, California. The lights of her life will forever be her grandchildren Rob, Joe, Cassandra, Kaylie, Audra, Luke, Leah and Grace, and great grandchildren Landen and Madisen.

Private services will be held at a later date. Donations in Sue's name suggested to the PEO Scholarship Fund.
