TWIN FALLS - Julio A. Benavides, 61, of Twin Falls, Idaho, our beloved father, brother, son, and friend peacefully passed away Saturday, January 28, 2017 surrounded by family & loved ones at St Luke's Hospital in Twin Falls.
Born December 20, 1955 in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico to Cesar and Maria Benavides. In 1967, his family moved to Dayton, WA, where he attended Dayton High School and graduated class of 1975. He moved to Buhl, ID to work for Green Giant for 30+ years. Later working 12 years for Clear Springs Foods, where he loved working in nature at Box Canyon.
In 1983 Julio married Lori Benavides, they raised two children together. He was deeply loving and proud of his daughter Tandra Benavides and son Seth Benavides of Twin Falls. He enjoyed watching sports and black & white movies, golfing, helping others, visiting friends & relatives, and visiting his daughter every weekend for their special coffee & eggs. His drive, hard work, giving nature, positive attitude, contagious laugh, encouragement, and friendly spirit served as inspiration to those who knew him.
In addition to his children, Julio is survived by his son-in-law, Jasper Lloyd of Twin Falls, ID; father Cesar Benavides of Brownsville, TX; siblings Xochitl Sanchez of Austin, TX; Linda Ruvalcaba of Prosser, WA; Patty Benavides of Anchorage, AK; Trisha Benavides of Richland, WA; Lupe & Sal Benavides, of Dayton, WA; Nano Benavides of Olympia, WA; Leon Benavides of Houston, TX; Juan Andaverde of Brownsville, TX; and many loving, nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.
Preceded in death by his mother Maria Benavides and sisters Dolores & Dorito Benavides.
A special thank you to the staff at St Luke's and Devita Dialysis for their loving care & support. His funeral will be held Monday, February 6th, at 1:00pm at White Mortuary and Crematory 'Chapel by the Park', 136 4th Ave East, Twin Falls, ID 83301.
