RUPERT — An honor tree is on display in the front window of Workman Inc. in downtown Rupert to remember Idaho’s post-9/11 fallen soldiers after.

Anna Workman put together the tree to honor her son Army Sgt. Chris Workman and other Idaho soldiers.

Workman was killed in action in Afghanistan in 2012, along with his crew when their helicopter crashed during a night mission.

The tree went on display during Rupert’s festivities on the Square after Thanksgiving.

Several people worked on the tree, which was inspired by Patti Rios Smith and the Gold Star Families of Illinois including Dixie Walker, of Rupert, Georgene Mason, of Twin Falls and Beth Garatea, of Murtaugh.
