TWIN FALLS — A 23-year-old Buhl man is accused of having sexual contact with a child six times over two years.
Nicholas Emmet Stewart was indicted Jan. 31 by a Twin Falls County grand jury and arraigned Tuesday. He’s charged with six felony counts of lewd conduct with a child under 16.
The abuse happened over the course of several years when the victim was 11 to 13 years old, the indictment said. Court documents say the first incident was during a bear hunting trip sometime between August and October 2015 in Blaine County.
Three incidents were reported between May and December 2016 in Blaine County: at a hot springs, in a recreational vehicle and on an elk hunting trip. Two were reported in Twin Falls County between May and December 2016 and in August 2017.
Stewart’s bond was set at $200,000. The next court hearing hasn’t been scheduled.
