BURLEY — A two vehicle crash Thursday sent eight people to the hospital.
Cassia County Undersheriff George Warrell said at 10:12 a.m. deputies were dispatched to 100 S. 150 E. for the crash.
Brittany Bench, 25, of Wilsonville, Ore., was driving a 2005 white Pontiac Montana van eastbound on 100 S.
Warrell said it appears that Bench stopped at the stop sign and proceeded through the intersection where she was struck by a 2010 black Dodge pickup driven by Bryson Robinson, 19, of Burley.
Robinson was southbound on 150 E.
Both vehicles went off the road and through a fence.
Extrication crews were needed to free some of the patients and ambulances were dispatched from Cassia Regional Hospital and Minidoka Memorial Hospital to transport patients. Bench had six passengers in her vehicle.
Robinson did not have any passengers.
Warrell said two females were flown to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello.
Robinson was taken to the hospital by private vehicle, Warrell said.
The names and ages of the passengers along with other details were not available on Thursday due to the ongoing investigation.
