RUPERT — A Rupert man died Friday after he failed to yield for a train.
The crash occurred at 8:10 a.m. at the intersection of 800 E. Road and North Idaho Highway 24, according to a press release issued by the Minidoka County Sheriff’s Office.
Ismael Galaviz Victorio, 30, was traveling southbound on 800 E. Road in a truck when he failed to yield to the train. He died at the scene as a result of his injuries.
Idaho State Police is assisting the sheriff’s office with the investigation of the crash.
The case remained under investigation Friday.
