TWIN FALLS • A 39-year-old man was arrested at the skate park at Harmon Park on Tuesday after yelling at a nine-year-old boy for riding a bicycle, police said.

Gabriel M. Yinquez was arraigned Wednesday in Twin Falls County Magistrate Court on a charge of misdemeanor disturbing the peace.

The Twin Falls Police Department received a call about 12:15 p.m. Tuesday about a drunken man threatening children at the skate park.

The boy’s aunt told police Yinquez yelled, “Hey you little (expletive) get that bike off the skate park. Can’t you read?”

When the aunt confronted Yinquez about swearing at the child, he told her, “Go get your old man. I don’t want to go to jail for an assault charge on some (expletive),” and he threw a beer onto the ground, court documents said.

When police arrived, they found Yinquez and he admitted he yelled at the boy for riding his bicycle at the park where bikes are not allowed, court documents said. Yinquez also admitted he had been drinking.

Yinquez also admitted to threatening the boy’s aunt, court documents said.

His bond was set at $500 and a pretrial conference is scheduled for Sept. 29.
