This artistic rendering shows a tiny house Community School wants to build for the College of Southern Idaho's Refugee Center in Twin Falls.

SUN VALLEY — Community School Upper School students taking multicultural literature and environmental science classes will host a fundraiser from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Ketchum's Limelight Hotel, 151 Main St. S, Ketchum.

Funds raised from "The Refuge: A House for a Better Future" will go toward the construction of an environmentally-friendly tiny house for the Twin Falls Refugee Center.

The event is free and open to the public. The Limelight Hotel is generously donating a portion of the proceeds from all food and beverage purchases made during the event to the project.

The evening will include a brief presentation, tiny house blueprints, student projects and themed artwork. Representatives of the refugee community will also be in attendance.

The Twin Falls Refugee Center has resettled more than 2,500 refugees since its inception. Upon completion of the tiny house — tentatively scheduled for fall — the home will serve as transitional housing for a family of newly-resettled refugees in the Twin Falls area.
