I.B. ‘Burt’ Perrine, seated, is seen surrounded by visitors adorned by clumps of fresh-picked cherries at Perrine’s Blue Lakes Ranch in the Snake River Canyon. The photo was taken sometime around 1906, according to the date on the back.
Hortense McKay Perrine, Burt’s wife, stands behind him. Hortense’s sister, Stella McKay Brown, is at the far right.
Ezra Meeker, known as the father of the Oregon Trail, stands at the far left. Meeker is known to have traveled through Twin Falls in May 1906, but this photo shows the group during cherry harvest, which normally would be in early July.
Although unidentified, the photographer could have been Clarence Bisbee, who came to Twin Falls in January 1906.
