TWIN FALLS • The book “Billie Neville Takes a Leap”is about a 10-year-old girl who dreams of being a daredevil amid the excitement of Evel Knievel’s jump of the Snake River Canyon.
The book is written by local authors, Bonnie Dodge and Patricia Santos Marcantonio. They will be holding a book launch and signing from 1-4 p.m. July 12 at Barnes & Noble Booksellers, 239 Pole Line Road E., in Twin Falls.
A reading will be held at 2 p.m. Marcantonio of Twin Falls is the author of “Red Ridin’ in the Hood and Other Cuentos,”which placed on Amazon’s list of Latino children’s book bestsellers. Her novel “The Weeping Woman” was published by Sunbury Press, which will release her new children’s book,“The Ghost Sisters and the Girl in Hallway B.”
Dodge,of Jerome,is author of “Miracles in the Desert,” a book of essays about Twin Falls.Her column, “Life in this Magic Valley”ran in Ag Weekly for six years. She is also Idaho Writer’s League’s 2010 Writer of the Year. Her book “Waiting” will be published this fall by Booktrope.
