BURLEY – A Burley man died Saturday night after he lost control of his motorcycle east of Shoshone.
According to the Idaho State Police, Frankie Bennett Jr., 56, was riding eastbound on State Highway 24 near milepost 67 at about 8:42 p.m. when he drove off the road, lost control of the motorcycle, and crashed.
Bennett was ejected from the motorcycle. He was not wearing a helmet and succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash, ISP said.
Highway 24 was blocked for about 1 hour and 20 minutes. Lanes were completely cleared at 1 a.m.
The crash remains under investigation.
