The Idaho Fish and Game Commission will meet in Jerome November 16-17.
The meeting and public hearing will be held in the Magic Valley Regional Office at 324 South 417 E, Suite #1.
Presentations on fisheries and wildlife population monitoring will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 16. A public hearing will follow at 7 p.m. Citizens are invited to address the commission regarding agenda and non-agenda items at the hearing. All testimony will be taken into consideration when the commission makes decisions on agenda items at the meeting the next day.
The commission meeting will continue at 8 a.m. Friday, Nov. 17. Routine agenda items include appointing a Commission representative to Western Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies (WAFWA) and a Commission Liaison to Idaho Fish and Wildlife Foundation (lFWF). Commissioners will also act on pending rules/ratifications, land acquisition/easements, sale of Sawtooth nonresident elk tags, Sandhill and turkey tag discounts, and also hear updates on the upcoming legislative process and revision to the Fiscal Year 2019 budget request.
