Jack Vaughn Kirby November 25

November 25 1948-June 14 2015

TWIN FALLS | Jack Vaughn Kirby, 71,  passed away Sunday June 14 after a short illness while out on the road. Jack was born November 25, 1948 in Twin Falls, Idaho to Esther and Kenneth Kirby. He has five sisters and one brother.

Jack spent most of his life in and close to Idaho. He drove truck both as an owner operator and as an employee. He was currently employed at Farm Fresh out of Jerome, Idaho doing what he loved. His faithful companion, his dog "Feller" was at his side at the time he became ill and was hospitalized.

Jack also loved the outdoors and taking long drives and had made one last trip to Washington to be with his mom on mother's day.

He worked in the upholstery industry doing furniture and custom cars, one which was featured in Hot Rod magazine. Jack also was a carpenter and mechanic. He loved working with his hands and always had a project in the works.

Dad was always one to stop and share a story or two even three with any and everyone he would meet on a daily basis. He was a loyal customer at Shari's Restaurant, his favorite night being Wednesday "Free Pie Night". He had many friends.

Jack was married three times and from these unions five children were raised. First marriage Jeff and George, second marriage Sandra and Lloyd, and third Caitlin. He had remarried his second wife Darlene but became widowed in 2007.

Jack is survived by his children Sandra (Roy) Anderson, Lloyd Kirby, Caitlin Kirby, Jeff and Greg Kirby, his mother Esther, sisters Sandra (Bill) Coggins, Susan (Mark) Alsted-Fanning, Connie Kirby, Cindy(Eric) Stones, one brother Michael (Jen) Kirby, 3 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father Kenneth, wife Darlene, infant son Carl, sister Joyce and his grandparents.

Jacks ashes will be interred at a later date next to his wife Darlene at Sunset Memorial Park in Twin Falls.

A celebration of life is also planned at which time family and friends will be contacted if you would like to come and share a memory or two with the family. All are welcome. If you would like to send a card with your memory or have a favorite photo they would love to receive them to share at the celebration of life also.
