HANSEN — There is a mystery afoot at Stricker Ranch. And you are invited to help solve it.

Friends of Stricker will hold its fourth annual interactive murder mystery dinner “Stricker Spaghetti Western: Murder at the Ranch” at 7 p.m. Aug. 6, at the historic Rock Creek Stage Station and Stricker Ranch, 3715 E 3200 N in Hansen. Seating is limited. Tickets for the event are $25 per person or $40 per couple and must be purchased by Aug. 3. Tickets include a spaghetti dinner.

To purchase tickets, go to and click on Events. All proceeds from the event will go toward preserving the Stricker site.

Jennifer Hills, president of Friends of Stricker, says the event will be a cross between the board game Clue and the television reality show The Amazing Race. The premise of the Western-themed mystery is that a horse thief known as the Rock Creek Rustler has been killed. All the townspeople of Rock Creek are glad he’s gone, but no one will confess to killing him. Guests will solve riddles and compete in different challenges to earn clues to help them solve the mystery of who killed the Rock Creek Rustler. There will be several prizes awarded at the end of the night.

The activities won’t be overly strenuous, but guests will need to be able to walk around the Stricker site and home without any problems. This event is for participants ages 12 and older.
