TWIN FALLS — Let American landscape photographer Terry Halbert take you from camera basics to seeing a new view of the world. Terry’s Digital Photography Boot Camp will “Start With the Foundation” from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Feb. 24 or Aug. 18 in the Twin Falls Center for the Arts Sliger Auditorium, 195 River Vista Place, Twin Falls. Halbert will introduce his 12 Tips, including: knowing and understanding your equipment; composing and taking the photograph; and enjoying and sharing your photography.

Then take “Your Next Step” from 6 to 9 p.m. May 11 or Oct. 12 and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 12 or Oct. 13 in the Twin Falls Center for the Arts Conference Room. It will be a small hands-on class reviewing understanding of Halbert’s 12 Tips and continuing to learn about: exposure; composition and light; digital workflow; building an equipment kit; and displaying and showing your work. Meet new friends, too.

The cost is: $120 MVAC members or $135 non-members. Registration is again required at magicvalleyartscouncil.org.

Both classes: $125 MVAC members — a $25 savings; or $150 non-members — a $30 savings. Take at least a month between the two classes to review and practice Halbert’s 12 Tips, then take your questions to the second class.
