KETCHUM — Sawtooth Botanical Garden and the Idaho Native Plant Society will host a high-elevation wildflower hike to 4th of July Lake in the White Cloud Mountains on Saturday.
Participants should meet at 8:30 a.m. at the garden, 11 Gimlet Road, four miles south of Ketchum; return will be by 4 p.m.
The five-mile round-trip is rated easy to moderate — appropriate for children age seven and older, accompanied by an adult. Please leave dogs at home.
Participants will experience Idaho’s spectacular high mountain flora and see 30 or more species of wildflowers.
Wildflower Walks are free and happen rain or shine. Participants should bring appropriate outerwear, sturdy walking shoes, water, sunscreen, a hat and lunch.
