SUN VALLEY — The Family of Woman Film Festival will present two matinees — “Poetry” and “Sami Blood.”
“Poetry,” a drama from South Korea, will be a free film at 11 a.m. March 3 at the Sun Valley Opera House, 1 Sun Valley Road, Sun Valley. Actress Jeong-hie Yung came out of retirement to play this role for director/writer Chang-dong Lee. Both artists garnered many international awards. “Sami Blood,” the first feature film made by Swedish director Amanda Kernell, will be shown at 3 p.m. March 3 at the Sun Valley Opera House.
Both “Poetry” and “Sami Blood” fit the 2018 Family of Woman Film Festival theme, “Women on the Margins.”
The festival will be held Feb. 27 to March 4. Tickets will go on sale Thursday at Chapter One Bookstore, 340 Second St. W., Ketchum. Tickets will also be sold at The Sun Valley Opera House box office on screening days. Tickets are $15 each or $60 for all films.
