Registration for the 10th Annual Art & Soul of the Magic Valley takes place through February 1, 2020. Presented by the Magic Valley Arts Council, Art & Soul is the Northwest’s largest public-voting art contest takes place in businesses and public spaces in Twin Falls, April 10-25, 2020. Over $43,000 in prize money is up for grabs and 40 artists-winners will be chosen by public vote. Anyone age 16 years and older may register to vote with a valid ID. Grand Prize will be $12,000.

Art & Soul, an arts awareness event under the disguise of a contest, is an opportunity for everyone to be involved in the conversation of “What is art and why art is important?” Artists enter their work while organizations and community members serve as Sponsors and businesses and public spaces become Venue locations or temporary galleries. Then everyone is encouraged to view the art and vote for their favorites.

Artist enter one of 17 categories: Acrylic, Ceramic, Digital, Drawing, Fiber, Glass, Mixed Media, Oil, Photography, Printmaking, Quilt, Sculpture-3 feet and Under, Sculpture-Over 3 feet, Uncategorized, Wearable, Watermedia and Woodwork.

Enhancements have also been made in the Youth Category. Sponsored by the Magic Valley Mall, students in grades K-12 will have a chance to win a total of $1,000 in prize money. Divisions for students are Elementary K-2, Elementary 3-5, Middle School and High School. In each division four places will receive money: 1st Place - $100, 2nd Place-$75, 3rd Place -$50 and 4th Place-$25.
