Two Boise State basketball players were named Mountain West Conference players of the week after stellar performances from Jan. 11-18.

Men’s basketball player Derrick Marks won the men’s player of the week honor, while Brooke Pahukoa took home the honor for the women.

Marks led the Broncos (12-6, 2-3) to a home victory over UNLV and a huge road win over New Mexico. The senior guard from Illinois averaged 29.5 points per game in the two wins and upped his season average to 18.6 points per game. He is the team’s leading scorer by more than three points per game.

Pahukoa led the women’s basketball team (12-4, 4-1) to a road win over UNLV and home victory against New Mexico. The sophomore averaged 17 points per game in the pair of wins. The Broncos currently sit in third place in the Mountain West Conference.
