Thousand Springs Festival of the Arts

Paul Di Francesco, left, and his grandson Zander Di Francesco, of Lightning Forge, demonstrate how to make a drive hook Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, during the 25th annual Thousand Springs Festival of the Arts at Ritter Island in Thousand Springs State Park near Hagerman. After the demonstration, Di Francesco used the drive hook to hang a mirror he previously made from the tree behind him. NOTE: There were a lot of great frames from this event, but this one stood out above the rest. The color of the hoodie brings your eye right to the subject and the sun spot in the background adds a nice layer to the image. If I shot this again, I would have closed down my aperture to f/22 to really make the sun spot shine. (pun intended)
