Solar eclipse draws spectators to Baldy

A total solar eclipse occurs over Bald Mountain at 11:29 a.m. Monday, Aug. 21, 2017, in Sun Valley, Idaho. Astronomers who had come from NASA and other programs around the country joined with non-scientists in voicing their awe as the moon snapped into place over the sun, and brilliant white coronal loops flared out into the heavens.
