International Astronomy Day

Emma Weir, 9, uses the Herrett Scope in the Centennial Observatory to look at the Capella Star on Saturday, April 29, 2017, during the International Astronomy Day event at the Herrett Center for Arts and Science in Twin Falls Idaho. NOTE: This room was very small, and very difficult to shoot in. I knew I wanted to show the scale of the telescope. The issue was lighting. I had to stand behind the scope, which meant I was shooting primarily butts. The reason this image works is because I waited for the girl to turn around and talk to her mom.
