Cooper Moon

Cooper Moon, of Filer, poses for a portrait Friday, April 21, 2017, at Filer High School in Filer Idaho. This year, Idaho joined 45 other states with mandatory pitch limits for high school baseball. Now, a pitcher cannot exceed 110 pitches unless he reaches that number in the middle of an at-bat, in which case he's allowed to finish the hitter. NOTE: This is all because of pre-planning. Drew and I had been messing around with multiple-exposure images, but the subjects were too transparent in the images. I knew If I lit the photo myself, the white jersey would reflect the light and give the pitcher more distinguished lines. Also, by shooting at night, I erased the issue of a busy background distracting the viewer from the subject matter.
