Matthew Brumley, a junior at Minico High School, is currently one of five students in his class vying for valedictorian in next year’s graduating class. Throughout his years at Minico, he has taken a rigorous course of studies in honors and dual credit classes. While doing all of this, he has played varsity basketball three years in a row having been a starter in his ninth grade year. He currently holds a school record with the most blocked shots in a game and set a new record at the state 4A tournament a couple weeks ago with the most field goals made in a game. He was 14 of 15, with the previous record being 12. Matthew is a kind, friendly and personable young man who is very respectful of everyone around him.
