TWIN FALLS — Preston Nelson was named the club champion at the 2017 Coors Club Championship over the weekend, and Carl Sklavos was crowned the senior club champion. Nelson shot a 62 on day one and a 72 on day two to edge Brady Nelson by one stroke.

Chase Schaniel shot a 129 over two rounds, including a 60 in his first one, for a total of 129 to win the net in the championship flight. In the first flight, Gary Jenkins shot a 152 to win gross, and Armando Aspeytia shot a 131 to win net.

In the second flight, Andy Harris shot a 170 to win gross, and Brett Semple shot a 138, including a 64 in round one, to win net.

Rick Ho Chee also hit a hole-in-one on Friday, August 11, at Twin Falls Golf Club. Ho Chee made the shot on hole no. 6 from 168 yards away with an eight iron. Witnesses were Rex Silcock and Dean Ricks. The hole-in-one was the first of Ho Chee’s career.
