MCCALL – Several local golfer took home top-five finishes at the Idaho Golf Association Junior State Championship Wednesday.

Outgoing Canyon Ridge High School senior and Utah Valley University signee Bailey Henley was the lone local golfer to win her division. She shot a 141, including both rounds under par, to win the girls age 16-18 division. She edged out Peyton Fehringer of Highland by three strokes, and recorded just three bogeys over 36 holes.

Daniel Gaspar of Twin Falls and Brock Whitaker of Burley tied for fourth in the boys age 16-18 division with scores of 154. They finished 11 strokes back of Bo Knittel of Aberdeen for first place.

In the girls age 14-15 division, Brinlee Stotts of Twin Falls shot a 159 to finish in fifth place, six strokes behind Emily Caldwell of Boise for first place.

In the girls age 13 division, Reece Garey of Kimberly shot a 209 to finish in fifth place, 44 strokes behind Kelli Ann Strand of Challis for first place.

In the boys age 11-12 division, Derek Lekkerkerk of Twin Falls shot a 79 over 18 holes, including a 36 on the back nine, to finish in fourth place. He was seven strokes behind Ashton McArthur of Rexburg for first place.
