Ridgevue 66, Canyon Ridge 64

TWIN FALLS — The Riverhawks began their season with a home, nonconference 4A loss.

Canyon Ridge led the Warhawks 42-35 at halftime and outscored them 15-10 in the fourth quarter, but a 21-7 third quarter in favor of Ridgevue made the difference.

“We played well in three out of the four quarters,” Canyon Ridge coach Darren Van Hofwegen said. “I don’t know what it is with our third quarters, but it’s something we’ve gotta fix.”

Five Riverhawks scored in double figures: Derek Clark (13 points), Iazk Cuellar (13), Avery Rambur (12), Logan Alquist (11) and Hudson Pierce (10).

Canyon Ridge hosts Kimberly on Saturday.
