SHOSHONE — The Lions won their second straight North Side Conference championship with a 25-10, 25-21, 25-23 win over the Panthers on Wednesday.
Carey was one of two teams to take Lighthouse to five sets this season (Filer was the other).
For the Lions, Haylee Grossman had 16 kills and three blocks, Gracie Cover had nine kills and eight digs, Chloe Gomez had eight kills and six digs and Sabrina De Jong had 31 assists, two aces and six digs.
Lighthouse enters the 1A Division II state tournament a 19-0 record. It will face second seed from either District 2 or District 3 in the first round on Oct. 27 at Lewiston High School.
Kimberly 3, Gooding 1
KIMBERLY — The Bulldogs won their second Sawtooth Central Idaho Conference title in three years with Wednesday’s 17-25, 25-20, 26-24, 25-16 win.
Kimberly enters the 3A state tournament with a 15-1 overall record and a 9-0 record against conference opponents.
Zoey Brown had 11 kills, Desi Overacre had 10 kills and 22 assists, Kirie Taylor had three aces and Paydon Morrissey had four blocks for the Bulldogs, who face the second seed out of District 1 in the first round of the state tournament.
Gooding plays Sugar-Salem in a state play-in game Saturday at 3 p.m. in American Falls. The winner will face top top seed out of District 3 in the first round of state on Oct. 27 up north.

SHOSHONE — The Blue Devils kept their state tournament hopes alive with a 25-9, 25-17, 25-15 win Wednesday in a North Side Conference loser-out match.
Jaxen Eggleston had 12 kills and four blocks, Quincie Christiansen had six kills and four aces, Cassandra Berthelson and Matigan Bingham each had five kills, and Brianna Astle and Alexi Hagen combined for 24 assists for Dietrich, which plays Murtaugh in another loser-out match on Thursday.
Murtaugh 3, Community School 1
SHOSHONE — The Red Devils won a North Side Conference loser-out match 25-18, 25-17, 16-25, 25-15 on Wednesday.
Murtaugh plays Dietrich on Thursday in another loser-out match.
GOODING — The Kimberly boys and girls cross country teams both rolled to team titles Wednesday at the 3A Sawtooth Central Idaho Conference championships.
Declo took both team titles in the 2A Canyon Conference meet. In the 1A meet, Valley won the boys title and Oakley took the girls trophy.
Kimberly senior Kirby Heider took the SCIC boys individual title with a time of 16:53, 0:02 ahead of Buhl sophomore Daniel Butler. Filer senior Mary Kate Marshall won the girls title with a time of 19:55, and Kimberly sophomore Brinley Humphreys placed second at 20:10.
Despite losing the team titles, Wendell had both of the Canyon Conference’s individual winners. Woody Smith won the boys title (17:33), and fellow senior Olivia Gines was first in the girls field (21:56).
Valley senior Ben Christensen won the 1A boys title (16:31), and Richfield senior Erica Kent won the girls championship (21:02).
