DIETRICH – A 21-9 fourth quarter was the difference for Dietrich in Friday’s nonconference win.

In the final quarter, Dietrich put Jaxen Eggleston on Grace Parker, who had scored most of game-high 26 points up to that point.

“She shut her down in the fourth,” Dietrich head coach Acey Shaw said.

Matigan Bingham scored 19 points for the Blue Devils (2-0), who play at Oakley on Saturday.

TWIN FALLS — The Bruins remained winless with a home nonconference loss Friday night.

The Indians put the host Bruins on their heels with an 18-4 first quarter. Twin Falls outscored Preston in the second quarter 12-5 but lost the battle of the second half 35-26.

The Bruins were 12-of-41 from the field (29 percent) and 0-11 from beyond the arc. Seniors Kylie Baumert and Morgan Harr each had nine points. Senior post Sage Swan matched her seven points with seven rebounds.

“We made some defensive adjustments and enabled us to get some steals in the second half,” said Buhl coach Kody Bingham. ”We got the score down to seven points in the fourth quarter at one point.”

Hagerman senior Elena Floyd finished with a game-high 19 points, including a 13-of-20 performance at the free-throw line. Senior Tristyn Hulme pulled down 15 rebounds.

“We finally got our offensive flow going and played well as a team,” said Hagerman coach Derrick Lyons.

Wendell senior Robin Moreno led the Trojans with 11 points.
