DECLO — Declo picked up its second win over a top-ten 3A team in three weeks on Friday, as they doubled up the visiting Bulldogs.

Declo junior standout Keegan Duncan accounted for four touchdowns, including a 105-yard interception return. No other details were available.

Declo (3-0) next travels to 3A Buhl, while Kimberly (1-1) hosts 4A Burley.

Filer 32, American Falls 14

FILER – Filer picked up its first win of the season at home against American Falls Friday.

The Wildcats led 18-14 at halftime and held the Beavers scoreless in the final two quarters.

Josh Hughes had a monster game out of the backfield, as he picked up 261 yards and three touchdowns on 19 rushes. Quarterback Garret Jardine added 84 yards and two touchdowns on 13 rushes, as Filer ran for 378 yards as a team.

The Wildcats (1-2) travels to 2A Wendell next week.

Lighthouse Christian 58, Richfield 14

RICHFIELD – Lighthouse Christian put up 42 first-half points in a road conference win over Richfield Friday.

Quarterback Connor Holloway completed seven of 10 passes for 118 yards and three touchdowns, and he rushed the ball seven times for 151 yards and another touchdown. The Lions outgained the Tigers 483-108 in total yards, including 365-88 on the ground.

Richfield scored one touchdown on a kickoff return in the first quarter, and another in the fourth quarter on a fumble recovery.

Lighthouse (2-1) next hosts Carey in a big Sawtooth Conference West matchup, while Richfield (0-2) hosts Murtaugh.

FAIRFIELD – The Mushers defeated the visiting Red Devils in a Sawtooth Conference West matchup. Camas County sophomore quarterback Trey Smith connected with five different receivers – Reminton Kramer, Conner Eaton, Doug Willis, Erik Robles for touchdowns – and Jaydon Rossman had two catches for scores. Robles also added a rushing touchdown.

Murtaugh (0-2) hosts Richfield and Camas County (1-1) is at Dietrich on Friday.

Carey 55, Hansen 8

CAREY – The Panthers improved to 2-0 in the Sawtooth Conference West and 3-0 overall with a home win over the Huskies.

Freshman quarterback Hunter Smith completed all nine of his pass attempts for 170 yards. He tossed scoring passes to Porter Larna (33 yards) and Max Dilworth (46 yards). Senior quarterback Houston Hennefer also threw for two scores with a 20-yard pass to Hilario Ruiz and a 50-yard touchdown reception by DJ Parke.

Carey coach Lane Kirkland recognized the Panthers’ kicking game, as freshman kicker Jesus Villanueva nailed a 25-yard field goal and junior Bryan Vargas and Villanueva each made PATs after touchdowns.

Hansen’s only score came on a five-yard run by Paxton Stimpson. Carey is at Lighthouse Christian and Hansen (0-2, 0-2) hosts Castleford on Friday.

IDAHO FALLS — Jerome fell to a fellow 4A Tigers Friday night for a nonconference loss.

After a 7-7 first quarter, Idaho Falls outscored Jerome 21-0 in the second quarter to pull away.
