Carey 3, Dietrich 2

CAREY — The Panthers are 5-0 in the North Side Conference and are headed for a showdown with the 7-0 Lighthouse Christian Lions on Thursday following the five-set win over the Blue Devils 25-20, 22-25, 25-27, 25-15, 15-10.

“There were a lot of long volleys,” said Carey coach Kathy Whitworth. “Very pleased. They played good.”

Shantell Chavez recorded 10 kills and Kodi Green added nine for Carey and Kylie Wood contributed 22 assists. For the Panther defense, Chavez had two blocks and Green one.

Dietrich is at Murtaugh on Thursday.

Lighthouse Christian 3, Hansen 1

HANSEN – The Lions remained undefeated with a 25-20, 21-25, 25-9, 25-5 North Side Conference win on Tuesday.

“They were pretty motivated,” Hansen coach Jim Lasso said. “Then reality set in in three and four.”

Yolando Alaniz had 10 kills for the Huskies (6-7, 2-4), who host Castleford on Thursday.

Gracie Cover had 19 kills and three blocks, Haylee Grossman had 12 kills and five aces, Chloe Gomez had seven kills and three aces, Maycee Holloway had nine digs and Sabrina De Jong had 34 assists and five digs for Lighthouse (11-0, 7-0), which hosts Carey on Thursday.

Twin Falls 3, Minico 1

RUPERT — Minico made an early run at Twin Falls in the Great Basin Conference match but lost 18-25, 25-23, 25-14, 25-19.

“We came out on fire the first set,” said Minico coach Donovan Terry.

Taylia Stimpson finished with 17 kills for the Spartans followed by Sunny Perry with eight kills and four aces. Senior setter Saydi Anderson posted 34 assists. For the Minico defense, Perry had 14 digs.

Twin Falls hosts Jerome and Minico travels to Burley on Thursday.

Burley 3, Wood River 0

HAILEY — The Bobcats earned a Great Basin Conference victory 25-16, 25-12, 25-16 over Wood River Tuesday night.

Burley had 38 kills and 11 aces as a team.

Annie Kaminski had eight kills, Torie King had 11 assists, and Patrea Topp had 18 digs for the Wolverines (12-14, 3-4), who play at Canyon Ridge on Thursday.

Burley (5-2 in conference) hosts rival Minico on Thursday.

Canyon Ridge 3, Jerome 2

JEROME — The Riverhawks trailed 2-1 but came back and won the fourth and fifth sets defeating the Tigers 25-27, 25-22, 18-25, 25-10, 15-10 in the Great Basin Conference match.

Makayla Bernal was the leading hitter for Canyon Ridge with 12 kills, followed by Taylor Huddleston with 10. Karleigh Allen finished with five aces, and Madalyn Hatch had four.

Kelbie Standley led the Riverhawks defense with 20 digs, and Hatch added 18. Brooklyn Weston finished with four blocks and Bernal and Jenna McClain each had three.

Canyon Ridge (2-7) hosts Wood River and Jerome is at Twin Falls on Thursday.

Castleford 3, Richfield 2

CASTLEFORD — The Wolves won their first North Side Conference win with the home 25-20, 16-25, 21-25, 25-9, 15-10 victory over the Tigers.

Maddy March led the Castleford offense with 13 kills followed by seven kills each by Abigale Hale and Bailey Truscott. Setter Sydney Schoth passed for 35 assists, and Libero Kennedy Adams picked up 27 digs.

Richfield hosts Rockland on Wednesday. Castleford (4-11, 1-5) is at Hansen on Thursday.

Community School 3, Murtaugh 1

MURTAUGH — Community School seniors Kristina Poydenis led the Cutthroats offense with 13 kills, Rachel Roudabush followed with 10 and Lola Street added five kills in the 25-20, 21-25, 25-19, 25-12 North Side Conference win over the Red Devils.

Katie Wehrly led at the service line with four aces, Savannah Spoor had three and Poydenis and Street each had two. Street had seven digs and Poydenis had a block.

Community School hosts Camas County and Murtaugh hosts Dietrich on Thursday.

Shoshone 3, Glenns Ferry 0

GLENNS FERRY — The Pilots lost to the visiting Indians 25-12, 25-10. 25-5 in the Snake River Conference match.

Senior Lizette Garcia led the Glenns Ferry defense with 10 digs, and Sage Wootan had two blocks and two digs. Wootan had a team-high six kills.

Shoshone is at Oakley and Glenns Ferry hosts Raft River on Thursday.

Kimberly 3, Buhl 1

KIMBERLY — The Bulldogs defeated the Indians 22-25, 25-8, 25-8, 25-23 in the home Sawtooth Central Idaho Conference match.

Kimberly senior Ivy Burgess finished with a team-high 13 kills, and Aspen Askew had three aces. Demee Rosenkrance led the Kimberly defense with 36 digs and Paydon Morrissey had four blocks.

Kimberly hosts Wendell on Wednesday and Buhl hosts Gooding on Tuesday.

Valley 3, Raft River 1

MALTA — The Vikings picked up a road Snake River Conference win with the 25-20, 25-21, 23-25, 25-13 defeat of the host Trojans. No details were available.

Valley (6-8, 4-4) hosts Hagerman and Raft River (1-13, 1-7) travels to Glenns Ferry on Thursday.

Gooding 3, Filer 0

GOODING — The Senators earned a 25-23, 25-21, 25-18 SCIC win on senior night.

Grace Parker had 11 blocks and seven kills, Nichole Stampke had eight kills and Kassie Adkinson had 21 digs for Gooding, which plays at Buhl on Tuesday.

Filer hosts Declo on Thursday.

Declo 3, Wendell 0

WENDELL — The Hornets beat Wendell for the second time this season, this time 25-10, 25-4, 25-12.

Wendell plays at Kimberly on Wednesday, and Declo plays at Filer on Thursday.

Oakley 3, Rockland 0

ROCKLAND — The Hornets improved to 14-1 overall with Tuesday’s road win.

Oakley had 10 aces and eight blocks as a team in the 25-11, 25-19, 25-12 sweep.

Rachael Mitton had eight kills for the Hornets, who host Shoshone on Thursday.

Bliss 2, Buhl 0

Buhl — The Bears improved to 10-1 in the High Desert Conference with Tuesday’s shutout win.

Armando Cordoba (Angel Juarez assist) and Yuvani Vizcarra scored in the second half for Bliss (11-1 overall), which hosts Declo on Thursday to end the regular season.

Buhl (6-7-1, 4-6-1) plays at Wendell the same day.

Community School 5, Gooding 0

SUN VALLEY — The Cutthroats kept pace in the High Desert Conference with Tuesday’s win.

Cash Dart, Finn Mallinen, James Everitt and Ridley Lindstrom scored for Community School (12-3, 10-1), which ends the regular season at Filer on Thursday.

Gooding ends the regular season with a record of 2-12-1 overall and 1-10-1 in conference.

Filer 2, Wendell 1

FILER — The Wildcats snuck past the Trojans for a High Desert Conference win.

Cody Ruiz and Justin Allen scored for Filer (7-6-2, 5-5-1), which hosts Community School on Thursday to end the regular season.

Wendell (1-10-1, 1-9-1) hosts Buhl the same day.

SUN VALLEY — Community School remained undefeated in its final home regular season game of the season.

Lily Fitzgerald scored four goals, Ella Viesturs scored three and Grace Pepin scored one for the Cutthroats (14-0-1, 11-0-0), which ends the regular season at Filer on Thursday.

Gooding ends the regular season at 1-8-2, 1-6-2.

Buhl 4, Bliss 1

BUHL — The Indians rolled to a High Desert Conference win in the second-to-last game of the season.

Madison Somers and Kyra Azevedo each scored twice for Buhl (4-7-1, 4-5-1), which plays at Wendell on Thursday.

Bliss (3-8-1, 3-7-1) hosts Declo the same day.

FILER — Wendell sophomore Kyla Teixeira scored the lone goal of the match on an assist from Sofia Martinez in the win over Filer.
