Twin Falls 3, Burley 0

TWIN FALLS — The top-seeded Bruins advanced to the Great Basin Conference title match with a 25-22, 25-19, 25-17 win over the No. 2 Bobcats Tuesday night.

Tori Edwards had 14 kills and six digs, Taylor Burnham had 11 kills and eight digs, Kennedi Evans had seven kills and eight blocks, Shelby Veenstra had 36 assists and two aces, Kylie Baumert had 11 digs and Whitney Solosobal added 13 digs for Twin Falls.

Burley faces Minico on Thursday in a loser-out match. The winner advances to the district championship against the Bruins.

Minico 3, Canyon Ridge 0; Canyon Ridge 3, Wood River 2

RUPERT — The Canyon Ridge season came to an end as the Spartans defeated the Riverhawks 25-7, 25-12, 25-18 in the loser-out match.

Sunny Perry had nine kills, Taylia Stimpson had eight kills and Saydi Anderson had 29 assists for the Spartans, who play Burley on Thursday in a loser-out, winner-to-district-title match.

Kelbie Standley and Hatch each had nine digs and Jones finished with 14 assists for Canyon Ridge, which ends the season at 9-19.

To get to the match with Minico, the Riverhawks faced Wood River, and they eliminated the Wolverines with a 23-25, 25-23, 18-25, 25-18, 15-11 victory.

For Canyon Ridge, Taylor Huddleston recorded a double-double with 22 kills and 31 digs, and fellow senior Madalyn Hatch added 10 kills. Setter Alexsis Jones passed for 54 assists.

Declo 3, Wendell 0

DECLO — The Hornets won the Canyon Conference championship 25-9, 25-6, 25-11 on Tuesday night.

The Hornets will face the third seed out of District 3 in a 2A state tournament play-in game on Saturday in Mountain Home.

Valley 3, Raft River 0

MURTAUGH — The Vikings defeated the Trojans 25-22, 25-17, 25-14 in a Snake River Conference tournament loser-out match.

Valley will play Hagerman at 6 p.m. on Thursday in other loser-out match.

Hagerman 3, Glenns Ferry 0

MURTAUGH — Junior Elly Yore led the Pirates with 12 kills, and senior Aubri Achabal followed with 11 in the 25-13, 25-11, 25-17 loser-out win over the Pilots.

Hagerman setter Alana Floyd had 24 set assists and three aces, and senior Tristyn Hulme led with six aces. For the defense, Achabal had two blocks and Hulme had three.

The Pilots will face Valley Thursday in another loser-out match.

Murtaugh 3, Camas County 0

SHOSHONE — The Red Devils eliminated the Mushers with a 25-19, 25-21, 25-23 North Side Conference win.

Murtaugh will play Community School at approximately 6 p.m. Wednesday in another loser-out match.

Carey 3, Dietrich 2

SHOSHONE — The Panthers won a thriller 25-27, 25-20, 20-25, 25-21, 15-6 to advance to the North Side Conference title match.

Kodi Green led the way for Carey with 13 kills and 14 blocks. Rylee Smith had eight kills, nine blocks and five aces, Shantell Chavez had 13 kills and three aces, Athanasia Versis had 19 digs, Lindsey Morey had 15 digs and Kylie Wood dished out 27 assists for the Panthers (15-5), who face Lighthouse Christian on Wednesday for the championship.

Dietirch plays Hansen earlier on Wednesday in a loser-out match.

Lighthouse Christian 3, Community School 0

SHOSHONE — Lions senior Haylee Grossman finished with a team-high 15 kills and Gracie Cover added six as the Lions beat the Cutthroats 25-9, 25-6, 25-17 in the North Side Conference tournament semifinal match.

Senior setter Sabrina De Jong passed for 23 set assists and had four serving aces. Maycee Holloway led the defense with nine digs and De Jong had six.

Lighthouse Christian will play Carey at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the district title match.

Hansen 3, Castleford 0

SHOSHONE – The Huskies ended the Wolves’ season with a 25-22, 26-24, 25-22 win in a North Side Conference loser-out match.

“It was definitely back-and-forth. I don’t know if it was both teams afraid to lose...” Hansen coach Jim Lasso said. “(Yolanda) Alaniz stepped up and had some great kills.”

Alaniz finished with 13 kills, and Shyla Brown had eight digs for Hansen (9-8), which faces Dietrich on Wednesday.

Castleford ended the season with a 6-15 record.

Outbrain
